Pre-Colour appointment consultation – deductible off your first appointment, when booked at consultation.

15 minute appointment, where will discuss your desired colour result, test the condition and integrity of your hair, take samples to strand test where necessary and to give you a quote. We will carry out any necessary patch tests at this appointment too. You are under no obligation to go ahead with the colour service with us after this consultation.

Pre-Restyle appointment consultation – deductible off your first appointment, when booked at consultation.

15 minute appointment, where we will discuss your current hair condition and style and it’s suitability for the new look you have chosen. We may physically ‘play-around’ with your hair, pinning it up etc to check out the new look without scissors, so that you are confident that you have made the right choice. You are under no obligation to go ahead with the re-style with us after this consultation.

Pre-Perm appointment consultation – deductible off your first appointment, when booked at consultation.

15 minute appointment, where will discuss your desired perm result, test the condition and integrity of your hair, take samples to strand test where necessary and to give you a quote. We will carry out any necessary patch tests at this appointment too. You are under no obligation to go ahead with the perm service with us after this consultation

In Depth Hair Condition Consultation

Exclusively available at Reflections Hair Studio

A two part in-depth consultation, taking over four hours in total. An opportunity to discuss your hair and scalp health, in detail.  This consultation has been designed for us to really help you get the hair health you would like.

With a starting point of discussing and analysing your general hair and scalp condition, we will ask questions, carry out strand tests and use a hand held microscope to look at your scalp and hair growth pattern.

We will assess the current condition, integrity and general health of your hair, scalp and you.

In confidence, we will ask you many questions about your previous hair treatments, such as colours or other chemical services. There will also be questions around your home hair care routine, the products you like to use and your general health.

We will take the information you give us, carry out a full analysis of the data, and provide you with a folder containing a printed report with our findings, along with a ‘Hair Health Prescription’. In this, we will recommend products, services and resources that we think will benefit you and your hair. You will also be given a treatment plan, to include estimated costs and a timescale, to get you from where you are now, to where you want to be.

The items in the prescription will be exclusively tailored to you. Many of the recommendations for services and products, will of course be available with us here at Reflections Hair Studio. For the resources, products and services that we are not able to provide, but from which we think you will benefit, we will recommend trusted external suppliers and professionals, local where possible.

At your second consultation we will go through this report and prescription together to discuss.

Each in person consultation, will be scheduled for 60 minutes, around a week or so apart.

In Depth Hair Loss Consultation

As the Hair condition consultation above, but with attention on hair loss and what we might be able to do to help, rather than on hair condition.

The consultation will be more in-depth, to discuss your hair, scalp and general health.  This consultation is designed, to see if we can find a reason for, and a solution to, your thinning or loss of natural hair.

It must be stated here, that Karen is not a medically qualified practitioner, the information and help offered during this consultation is in no way meant to replace that of a medical professional.

Karen has worked for many years in hairdressing and for almost 20 years, she has worked with clients suffering hair thinning, and complete hair-loss.  Whilst sadly, there is still no ‘magical cure’ for hair-loss, there are many potential ways to help.

With a starting point of discussing and analysing your hair and scalp condition, we will ask questions, carry out strand tests where appropriate and where there is still some natural hair growth.  We will use a hand held microscope to look at your scalp and hair growth pattern. We will assess the current condition, integrity and general health of both hair and scalp.

In confidence, we will ask you many questions about your previous hair treatments, such as colours or other chemical services. There will also be questions around your home hair/scalp care routine, the products you like to use, your general health, medications, diet and much, much more besides.

We will take all the information you have given us, carry out a full analysis of the data, and provide you with a printed report containing our findings, recommendations and information we think you might find helpful.

At a second appointment we will go through the report together to discuss our findings, and to talk through what you may be able to implement into your routine to help you make some positive progress.

Some of the suggestions may include trying new products or supplements. It may include making dietary changes or perhaps helping you discover disguising methods you didn’t know about …

And of course, Karen is the Wig and hair replacement specialist on the island, with over 200 pieces in stock and a qualification to be able to measure for and design, bespoke, made to measure wigs and hairpieces. As well as many off the shelf pieces in synthetic, flexi-fibre and human hair, at Reflections, we are also stockists of Spectrum One hair extensions, these can be taped or stitched in to thinning natural hair, to disguise and fill out in areas of particular concern.

Each consultation will be scheduled for 90 minutes.
