Colouring Services
Highlights can be anything from baby-lights to sun-kissed natural strands. Ribbons or solid wefts, lighter or darker than your natural colour, with or without a stretched root. They can be ballyage or ombre, single, dual or multi-toned, peek-a-boo or flamboyage … plus dozens of other options! Please feel free to bring images of what you think you would like to achieve.
If you would like a completely new colour, we advise for you to arrange a full consultation first. At the consultation, we will be able to check your hairs condition, integrity and suitability for the colour process/s you would like, whilst making a colour plan and schedule. We can also carry out strand tests at the consultation stage. Many of the images we see on the internet, will often have been achieved after many hours in the stylist chair. We like you to be properly informed before we start, about how long it may take, if it will need multiple sittings, and what the total cost will be. We will happily provide you with a quote at the consultation before we start any work.
You will need a colour patch test before any on-scalp colour service.
Tinting
Full Head of new colour, shampoo, trim and blow dry
Using permanent and semi-permanent colours from Schwarkopf, Wella and selected other professional brands, we will give you the same new colour over your entire hair. This can be lighter or darker than your natural colour. We always have over 225 shades in stock, and they can all be blended to create literally thousands more shades and multi-tonal blends. We can discuss your desired result at consultation. During your appointment we will also offer advice and suggest products for you to use at home, to maintain and protect your new colour and your hairs integrity, so that you keep that ‘just coloured’ feeling for a as long as possible.
Regrowth of all over colour, shampoo, trim and blow dry
When you have an all over colour, your hair will obviously continue to grow and your roots will be your natural colour. Depending on the speed of growth, you will need to have your root colour applications at around 3 to 6 week intervals. Your hair is usually ready for a trim at this stage too.
Regrowth of all over colour, shampoo, trim and set on rollers
Service as above, with roller set instead of blow dry.
Full regrowth tint, with a few ‘break-up’ highlights, shampoo, trim and blow dry
As regrowth service above, with the addition of a dozen or so directionally placed foil packs to break up the all over colour, usually around the front, giving a softer more ‘natural toned’ appearance.
Colour Correction – Oh dear! Price available after consultation
Consultation fee deductible from cost of first appointment
T-Section of Foil Highlights, Shampoo, trim and blow dry
Using specialist creative foils, we will section your hair and weave into the correct width of strands for colouring to achieve the look you would like. Applying professional colour/s from Schwarzkopf, Wella, Pulp Riot and other selected brands. Before being left to develop for the recommended time. We’ll rinse and condition and depending on the colours we’ve used, we may need to rebalance the pH levels at this stage too. We’ll then trim and blow dry (as above) into your desired shape, and check off the colour once it is dry, before applying any finishing styling products. During your appointment we will also offer advice and suggest products for you to use at home, to maintain and protect your new colour and your hairs integrity, so that you keep that ‘just coloured’ feeling for a as long as possible.
Half Head of Foil Highlights, shampoo, trim and blow dry
As above, but this time covering approximately half your head area with highlights
Full head of Foil Highlights, shampoo, trim and blow dry
As above, but this time covering your whole head with highlights
T-Section plus regrowth of all over colour, shampoo, trim & blow dry
When your highlights are not going into natural hair, but onto a tinted base, you will need to have your roots done at the same time as the highlights – Service as above, but including application of tint to the regrowth area between the foils.
Cap Highlights, shampoo, trim and blow dry (not available for long hair)
Using the ‘old-fashioned’ but very much ‘back-in-vogue’ method of highlighting, the silicone cap. We’ll select the right size cap for you head size and hair volume, and we fit it, much like a swimming cap! It will need to be tight fitting, but shouldn’t be uncomfortable. We then use a tiny hook, to poke through tiny holes all over the cap, to pull through small sections of hair for colouring. This is a fabulous technique for natural, all over, blended highlights on shorter hair. Only one colour at a time can be used.
Extra colours / Flashes of colour
For when you might like to have two or more shades of highlights, or a peek-a-boo flash of colour
Pre-bleaching
A service used before the application of creative colours, where the previous colour or the natural colour is darker than the desired result and needs to be removed. This also has the effect of opening the cuticles on the hair, making them more receptive to the application of the end colour. The price will be determined by the amount of time and product that it will be necessary to use to achieve the desired result. We can discuss this at consultation.
